The Symbol of the Avebury Tribe

Many Paths. One Shared Ground.

Avebury Tribe emblem

Many Paths. One Shared Ground.

The symbol of the Avebury Tribe was designed to express a simple idea: Many Paths. One Shared Ground.

At first glance it appears to be a simple geometric emblem. Yet every line carries meaning.

What each part means

The outer circle

Represents the whole community — everyone who gathers in and around Avebury, regardless of background, belief, tradition, organisation or tribe. Pagans, Druids, Wiccans, Heathens, Witches, seekers, scholars, visitors and locals — all held within one shared boundary.

The inner forms

Within the circle, distinct shapes stand together without merging. Each one keeps its own identity, its own path and its own voice, while sharing the same ground. Difference is not dissolved; it is honoured.

The shared centre

Not a leader, not a doctrine, not a single tradition. The centre is the living place of Avebury itself, and the values of respect, stewardship and service that draw people here.

The hidden letters

Look closely and the emblem also forms three letters: A for Avebury, T for Tribe, and the encompassing O of the circle — a quiet signature woven into the geometry.

A Founding Idea

All Tribes and None.

People may belong to any tribe, organisation, order, faith, culture or tradition — or none at all — and still find a place within the circle.

Many traditions.

Many beliefs.

Many stories.

One shared ground.
