Six Shared Principles
The ground on which the Avebury Tribe and Initiative stand. Each principle is an invitation, not a rule.
Unity Without Uniformity
Many Paths, One Shared Ground. We celebrate the diversity of paths, beliefs, and traditions within our community. We seek common ground where possible whilst respecting the freedom of each individual to walk their own path.
Respect
We honour the dignity, beliefs, traditions, and paths of others. We recognise that no single path holds all truth, and that mutual respect is the foundation of a healthy community.
Responsibility
We accept responsibility for our words, actions, and their consequences. We seek to act with awareness, accountability, and consideration for others.
Hospitality
We strive to be welcoming, generous, and inclusive. We recognise the value of community and the importance of making space for others to participate and belong.
Stewardship
We seek to care for the land, our communities, our traditions, and the generations that follow us. We endeavour to leave things better than we found them.
Integrity
We aim to act honestly, honour our commitments, and conduct ourselves in ways that reflect our values. Trust is built through consistent action.
